We hope
everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday, and has “digested” the
festivities enough to be ready to enjoy another great Opera Guild meeting
at Still Hopes on December 9th.
|
|
We
will gather in the Garden Room (Click HERE for directions) at 7:00 for our customary Happy Hour of good
food that you, our members, are justly famous for providing and the wine
that Opera Guild will provide. Then, at about 8:00, we will be entertained
once again by Met Auditions winner Soprano Taylor Johnson with Chris Leysath, a piano major at USC, at the piano. See their bios
here.
As usual, we expect a good turnout of
Still Hopes residents, so let’s all bring some extra food to make sure we
are able to accommodate those who may not be able to bring their own. Opera
Guild is fortunate in being able to use this wonderful room for a meeting
once a year, and the Still Hopes residents who attend always seem to enjoy
it and are very appreciative. Hope to see everyone there!

schedule: February 10th and April 27th
Please
notice on the schedule below that we have increased our dues by $5. These
dues have not been raised in the memory of any of the officers, and they
may well be the same as they were when Opera Guild was founded back in
about 1978. We regret the necessity for doing this, but we need a little
more income to pay our ever-increasing operating expenses. We appreciate
your understanding.

Dues Are Past Due!

were due at the first meeting, and are not currently tax deductible)

Masako will be on hand at this meeting to collect
dues. If you have not yet paid your dues for this season please pay at this
meeting, or if you MUST miss this very special meeting please mail her a
check to the address below. If you have not paid by our next mailing this
will be your LAST meeting notice, so if you haven’t yet done so
won’t you please send your check to Masako right now while you’re thinking
about it? Thanks very much!.
